This is not my first time in Ilocos, and since I fell in love with the place when I first went here, I can’t help but fall in love again. This time, I am the organizer of a group of
11 travel enthusiasts. ๐
Touchdown: LAO 1:15pm
Our flight arrived Ilocos 15 minutes earlier
than scheduled. We rented a MB 100 van, good enough to accommodate 10 adults
and one kid, and served as our transfer vehicle from one spot to another and
from one destination to the next.
Our first stop was Cape Bojeador, also known as the light house.
We stayed for 20 minutes doing picture taking of different views of the South
China Sea and the lighthouse itself.
Second stop was Kapurpurawan (White Rock Formation). From our trip
last February, several changes took place. There was no smooth trail way back
February. We passed by the slippery stones to reach the famous white rock spot
and took us about 20 minutes to walk to the spot. This time, the trail was
longer but has a safer trail and has now a viewpoint. Horses can also be rented
for only 50 pesos.
Third stop was Bangui Windmills. It was another trip to the
windmills and we tried a different route this time. New photos were taken
reliving the windmills in a different perspective.
Last stop for Day One was Kapuluan Vista Resort, where we stayed
overnight. We arrived there at 6 pm. After a cold sip of our welcome drinks, we
settled down for some minutes until dinner was served. We had tinolang native
manok, Kapuluan kilawen and sizzling seafood sisig.
After dinner, we spent some few minutes near the beach, enjoyed
the ocean breeze while others taking their afterdinner puffs. We also had some
few hours in the pool for some hours of relaxation.
Since the resort is about one hour away from the town proper, we can't do anything wild so we just kissed the quietness of the night with Kapuluan’s mix of frozen margarita until lights off.
Lights off: 10pm MNL
Until our next trip. ๐
